Tuesday is National Night Out – Meet & Greet Your Local First Responders

Tonight is National Night Out and many police departments across Delmarva will be marking the night. Local and State Police and other agencies will be meeting and greeting with residents – giving everyone a better idea of what they do to keep the community safe. This is a chance for residents to interact with first responders. Most events include games, food, music and more. Check with your local police department for events in your town. A few are listed below…

Tues, Aug 5 – Berlin – 5-7pm at Henry Park

  • Meet your local first responders, vendors and more. Berlin and State Police.

Tues, Aug 5 – Ocean City – 5:30 – 7:30pm at Northside Park – West Lagoon Field

  • Also on hand – the Ocean City Fire Department, Ocean City Fire Marshal Office, Ocean City Emergency Services, Ocean City Beach Patrol, Ocean City Police Department’s Quick Response Team, Forensic Services Unit, along with our Mounted and K-9 Units, and the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office and more. You’ll also have a chance to dunk Police Chief Ross Buzzuro in the dunk tank!

Tues, Aug 5 – Georgetown PD at Richard Allen School – S Railroad Ave 6-8pm

  • Meet and interact with local first responders – learn what they do! Fun and games, food, food trucks and vendors, vehicle tours and more

Tues, Aug 5 – Dover PD at Dover High School

  • Join Dover Police Department, emergency and military personnel. Meet and greet local heroes and see the equipment used in their jobs. Fun activities for all ages – along with food and beverages.

Tues, Aug 5 – Salisbury City Police & State Police City Park 4pm Free

  • Meet your neighbors, local first responders and enjoy food, games and more.

Tues, Aug 5 – Lewes – 5-8pm at George HP Smith Park at Blockhouse Pond

  • Join Lewes Police Department and other area agencies for free food, games, music and Kickball with officer of LPD, a bicycle rodeo, dunking booth and more!

Tues, Aug 5 – Maryland State Police 

  • with the Ocean Pines Police from 5 to 8pm 
  • in Princess Anne at the Garland Hayward Youth Center 5 – 7:30pm

Tues, Aug 5 – Blades PD – 17th Annual Blades National Night Out – Blades Park 6 pm to 8pm

  • Music, Delmarva German Shepherd Dog Club, Blades Fire Dept. and more.

Tues, Aug 5 – Milford PD – 29th Annual Night Out – Bicentennial Park – 6 to 8pm
