The weather wasn’t too bad on Monday unless you wanted to go fishing.  Small craft advisories were up in the ocean and bay and will be up through Wednesday.

The Assateague Mobile Surf Fishermen held their Surf Fishing Tournament over the weekend and the Delaware Brethren Of the Coast came in first place.  To say they fished in somewhat sporty conditions would be a vast understatement.  Team members were Todd Russell, Chris Tenbusch, Michael Magee, Andy Martz, Robert Wilson and Morty Morton.  Chris had the largest fish, a 19.25-inch flounder.  The team Here Fishy, Fishy came in second.  Team member Chris Barton had the most fish with 17.

At Lewes Harbour Marina, Tommy told us that Dean Armstrong is in First Place in the Tog Tournament with a 2.83-pounder.  Julia Mister fished the Outer Wall on Saturday and caught a nice tog on a green crab.

Old Inlet Bait and Tackle reported that Scott Rattle caught a five-pound triggerfish at Site 10 on Saturday.  On Monday, a few more keeper tog were caught at the inlet.

This is Eric Burnley with your WGMD fishing report.
