WGMD Fishing Report 10-26-19

Hermann-Financial

Friday was another good fishing day and it looks like Saturday will be as well.  Small craft advisories are already up for Sunday.

Captain Cary Evans called to report another boat limit of sea bass on the Grizzly, plus four flounder one of which weighed 7.75 pounds.  Why he couldn’t find those flounder on Thursday is something I plan to discuss with him.

Tom at Lewes Harbour Marina said the Katydid came in with a seven-man sea bass limit and the Bottom Line had a six-man limit.  If you want to stock up the freezer for winter, now is the time to get out on some sea bass.

At Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em it was more sea bass from the bottom-fishing boats.  A few tog were also reported, but these fish have not really gotten started as yet.  The Finnominal brought in a 287-pound swordfish from an overnight trip to the deep.  They also had some dolphin.

Tog are keeping inlet anglers buying crabs and sand fleas according to Old Inlet Bait and Tackle.  One fisherman caught four keepers on Friday.

This is Eric Burnley with your WGMD fishing report.
