WGMD Fishing Report 10-28-19

Hermann-Financial

Sunday saw small craft advisories up as promised and with northeast winds 10 to 15 knots and gusts to 20 they may be back up again on Monday.

On Saturday Frank Tucker fished the Outer Wall catching three keeper tog out of 27 caught.  Morgan and Jay Way worked the Del-Jersey-Land Reef on Saturday aboard their boat Wandering Ways to catch a good number of sea bass on clams and sand fleas.  Logan, Carey and Chris fished over ocean structure on the Hook It Up to land 22 sea bass, four triggerfish and one blowfish on clams and squid.

Once again, I must report on another charter boat that will no longer run from Indian River Marina.  Captain Paul Henninger has given up the Amethyst.  He had run that boat since 1984.  First it was Captain John Nedelka on the Karen Sue and now Captain Paul Henninger on the Amethyst.  I have known both men since they started in the fishing business and they have given me good reports for many years.  I am glad they are still with us and I look forward to speaking with them in the future.

This is Eric Burnley with your WGMD fishing report.
