WGMD Fishing Report 10-4-19

rob-carson

Boys and girls, it looks like a bumpy ride all the way through the weekend.  Small craft advisories are already up for Friday and may not be down on the ocean until sometime next week.  Seas on the bay won’t drop below three feet all weekend and that will not be very pleasant for small boats.  The surf is rough and dirty and the Inlet is not exactly clean and clear.

No boats went out of Lewes or Indian River on Thursday and none are likely to venture out until next week.  I do have some reports from last week.

Frank Tucker and a friend had five flounder to 20.5 inches over ocean structure.  Suzanne Martin caught pompano at Cape Point.  Andrew Neidigh caught a false albacore during the surf tournament last weekend.  Dave Klinger, Bob Klinger, Dave Lauderman and Wigg Phillips caught a near limit of sea bass plus triggers, blues and flounder over ocean structure in 85 feet of water.  Anthony Rodriguez caught a 1.11-pound white perch in Love Creek.

This is Eric Burnley with your WGMD fishing report.
