WGMD Fishing Report 11-4-19

Sunday was a bit on the breezy side, but Monday and Tuesday look good.

When I stopped by Lewes Harbour Marina none of the charter or head boats were out.  Captain Pete Haines was getting the Top Fin ready for a Monday tog charter, but that was the only activity on the dock.  I did get the latest standings in the Lewes Harbour Marina Tog Tournament.  First place, Charlie Breitenbach, 6.54 pounds, Second Place, Caleb Garcia, 6.00 pounds, Third Place, Logan Serpico, 4.85 pounds.

Captain Steve Redden, Jr. took the Valkyrie out to the deep on Saturday and went three for four on swordfish.  They released one and pulled the hook.  They also caught a bigeye tuna.  Ben C from Saltfish went to the canyon on Saturday and returned with three swordfish and some dolphin.

At Rick’s Bait and Tackle we learned that one customer had a 12-pound sheepshead at Site 10 on a green crab.  Another customer also fished Site 10 and caught a 6.8-pound flounder on a clam.  A third customer had a 3.5-pound sea bass over ocean structure.

This is Eric Burnley with your WGMD fishing report.
