WGMD Fishing Report 12-12-18

Wednesday was another cold one, but beginning on Thursday we will be on a warming trend.

With the holiday season upon us there is the problem of finding the perfect gift for the fishermen on your list.  May I suggest starting the search at your local tackle shop where the folks who wait on you can suggest products that local anglers actually use.  I love the big box stores for some items, but not fishing tackle.  The guy who waits on you, if you can find someone to wait on you, may have been in ladies underwear last week or last night for all I know.

Your local tackle shop may have to charge a bit more for some items because he can’t by a couple million at a time like the big box stores, but he can service the product, fill the reels with line and make sure the products match.  He won’t sell you a spinning reel on a conventional rod as I know you have seen more than once on the water.  He also knows what works locally.  He stocks the hottest lures, rigs, rods and reels to catch flounder, blues, tog and sea bass.
