Our old friend Gale Warning was back in town on Saturday doing considerable damage to everyone’s fishing plans. As usual, she arrived with much fanfare on Friday night, however, the twisters that had us all on edge did not materialize.
Fortunately, I have some reports from earlier in the week.
Amanda at Lewes Harbour Marina told us Andrea Montetti caught a citation 8.78-pound tog on Thursday. Patty Hillas had an 8.43 pounder and Kathy McClune had a tog weighing 8.35 pounds. All caught on green crab on the Katydid and all citations. On the same day and also on the Katydid, two more citations, Nolan Martin caught a 10.34-pound tog and Mary McElhone had a tog that also weighed 8.35 pounds.
I had a report from Wachapreague from Friday. Two anglers put their boat in at 8:30 AM and had their eight-fish limit before noon.
