Thursday was a tad breezy and a bit on the cool side by the water, but fish were caught.
Old Inlet Bait and Tackle reported that Bob Holsberser caught a 15.25-pound rockfish out of the surf at Cape Henlopen State Park on a chunk of bunker. Shad were caught out of Indian River Inlet during incoming water.
Lauren at Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em told us the No limit had 15 tog for the day.
At Lighthouse View Bait and Tackle the report was blues caught during the day on mullet and metal. The fish moved in and out, but if you were there when the fish came by, the action was good.
Rick’s Bait and Tackle said Dan Fromal caught a snakehead out of a retention pond at Pot Nets Lakeside. The angler was bass fishing and was quite surprised. Raymond McCall had two citation crappie weighing 1.85 and 2.06 pounds on live minnows.
Lewes Ice House told us Nick Fulford fished Delaware Bay on Wednesday night to catch a big black drum on clams.
