At Lewes Harbour Marina Tom said the Katydid had a catch of tog for his party. Unfortunately, Tom had no report of flounder from the Canal.
Lighthouse View Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park said the big blues hit in the late afternoon as the tide was flooding. These fish were caught from the pier and the beach to the east of the pier on mullet and bunker. I expect to see a lot of folks fishing here on Saturday.
At Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em Lauren told us the Captain Bob came back with a limit of tog for his customers. One private boat fished site 10 and caught a keeper flounder. The Spectacle and another private boat also caught tog on Friday.
At Old Inlet Bait and Tackle they said things were pretty busy at the shop getting ready for their spring tournament this weekend. The weather looks good and with big blues around it should be an exciting contest.
