WGMD Fishing Report 5-13-19

Sunday was cold, windy and just generally nasty.  A good day to spend with you mother or thinking about her if, like me, yours has passed on.

On Friday Dan’s Tackle Box reported that P. Turner caught a 19-inch flounder from the fishing Pier at Cape Henlopen State Park.  Michele Barker caught a black drum off of Broadkill Beach.

Lewes Ice House told us Alex caught some big blues from the beach at the southside of Indian River Inlet.  Jase Baker caught her first black drum from Broadkill Beach.  Flint and Lori Sherman caught four black drum from Broadkill Beach and Lori had three of them.

From Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em we learned that four-year-old Luke Matsko caught and released a big bluefish out of the surf with a little help from his dad.

On Thursday, DMS President Clark Evens presented a check for $1,000 to DNREC’s Parks and Recreation Division Director Ray Bivens and State Parks Advisory Council member Jan Durham to be used for a surf fishing video.

This is Eric Burnley with your WGMD fishing Report.
