WGMD Fishing Report 5-8-19

The word for Tuesday was bluefish.  The weather was perfect and blues were caught from Lewes to Three Rs Road.  The black drum were also around in Delaware Bay.

Old Inlet Bait and Tackle told us big blues came from Three Rs Road and Indian River Inlet.  They were caught on cut bait, either bunker or mullet, and metal.  The larger fish came on metal.

At Lewes Harbour Marina, Amanda told us Mark Thomblin caught eight blues out of Indian River Inlet on a spoon decorated with a pink plastic tail.  Captain Keith Beebe had his party on Surface Tension out for big blues around the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park and came back with more than enough for plenty of good meals.  Dave Johnson fished aboard the Skipjack II on Monday night to catch a big black drum.  Mark Steeleman was on the Lewestown Lady on Monday night when he caught a big black drum on a clam.  Cheryl Peterson and her party fished on the Top Fin with Captain Pete Haynes and went home with a nice catch of tog
