Capt. Kevin Denison and Mate Hunter Culver took the charter boat 3 Amigos out to the Baltimore Canyon on Saturday 6/15 with the crew Chris McCafferty from New Jersey, Kirk Reese from Milton, DE, Richard Porth from Milton, DE, David Fluck from Maryland, and James McCafferty from Milton, DE. They landed 9 yellowfin tuna using sterling tackle lures.

Last $ charters went out to the Poormans and used spreader bars to land 7 tuna. Jamie Gibboney, Nevin Beaston, Jeb Payne, Jake Payne, and Tyler Kline said that they had double and triple headers with a bunch of throwbacks mixed in.

Tuesday was another beautiful day with light winds and plenty of sunshine.

Amanda at Lewes Harbour Marina told us about Bob Murphy who had a 6.69-pound flounder from the Thelma Dale IV on Sunday.  Also on Father’s Day, Rickey and Toddy Mills caught five flounder to 5.56 pounds out of the Lewes and Rehoboth Canal on minnows and Gulp!.  The Miss Kristen with Captain Vince had the Hertzog family out on Delaware Bay for a catch of trout, blues, triggers and flounder using shiners and squid.

Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em had another long list of successful boats catching yellowfin tuna in the canyons.  The Spectacle had 11, the Fish Whistle had 12, the Three Amigos had 12, the Captain Ike had 16 and the No Limit had 18.  The Gale Force fished at Indian River Inlet to catch six keeper flounder and five shorts.  The head boat had a mixed bag of sea bass and flounder.

The fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park saw spot and a few flounder on bloodworms and minnows.  The surf hold kings on bloodworms.
