Saturday saw another beautiful fishing day.

Boats that ran to ocean structure caught a mixed bag of flounder to six pounds and sea bass to three pounds.

Amanda at Lewes Harbour Marina said Elaine Becker fished ocean structure on the Storm Rider and caught at 3.20-pound citation black sea bass.  Big blues were patrolling Delaware Bay during incoming water.  Ray Mast used an SP Minnow to catch a massive chopper weighing 17 pounds and Jacob Webb had a blue that weighed 13.5 pounds.  The Snow Goose with Captain Dave Sigda and crew Mike Fritz, Robert Alter, Dave Sigda and Dave Voorhees did an overnighter south of the Poorman’s catching eight dolphin on the troll and seven big sharks at night.

Assateague Island on the Maryland end is now closed from ramp 22 to the Virginia Line due to nesting piping plovers.

There have been more reports of trout in Delaware Bay as well as kings.  Both will take bloodworms.
