WGMD Fishing Report 6-24-19

Hermann-Financial

Sunday was the perfect end to a beautiful weekend.

Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em was able to give us a bit more information on the nine-pound flounder caught on Saturday.  The angler was John Angles and he caught the big fish seven miles off of Indian River Inlet.  Diana also said they had a 90-pound swordfish come in on the Ocean Drifter.  Other boats brought in a mako and a thresher shark, tuna and flounder.  On Saturday the No Limit caught a limit of flounder on a short trip between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM.  Frank Tucker and Steve Williams had four flounder from the ocean on Frank’s boat.  Anthony Brozosky and Jason DeStafney on the Persistence caught their limit of flounder at the Old Grounds on squid and minnows.

Old Inlet Bait and Tackle told us the croaker are still at the southside of the inlet and the larger ones, in the 12 to 13-inch class, seem to prefer Gulp!.  Kings and spot continue to come from the beach on bloodworms or FishBite bloodworms.

This is Eric Burnley with your WGMD fishing Report.
