Fishing the afternoon trip on the Judy V., Capt. Chris Adams found the flounder and they were hungry. The boat was fishing at the Old Grounds using cut bait and shiners the largest weighed in at 4.1lbs. Pictured are Macel Maican and Alex Lee from Maryland, Keith Gochenour of Enola, PA, Tanner and Tom Haugh of Gettysburg, PA, Drew Maguire of Great Falls, VA, Berry Bankert of Hanover, PA, Bob Gould of Aspers, PA, Jerry Kennedy of Germantown, MD, Bob Pare of Hanover, PA and Don Miller of Willow Street, PA.

Wednesday was another hot one with light southwest winds.  Not much change in the fishing and with the 4th of July holiday there are a lot of folks enjoying our favorite sport.

The fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park continues to see good fishing for spot with bloodworms the best bait followed by FishBite bloodworms.  Anglers who works the pilings with live minnows catch the occasional keeper flounder.  Kayak anglers have pretty good success doing this around the pilings of the burnt-out sections of the pier.

We are beginning to get reports of triggerfish around the Outer Wall.  Theses good eating, hard fighting fish love fresh clam baits on small hooks.  Anchor up and try chumming with clams to get them in a feeding mood.  Don’t be surprised if some spadefish don’t crash the party.

Captain Aaron Herd on the Gale Force continues to get his small parties on keeper flounder out of Indian River Inlet.  On Tuesday morning he had three for the Kerns party and in the afternoon, he put young Easton on two nice keepers.

This is Eric Burnley with your WGMD fishing Report.
