The Pro Staff from Shimano took a fishing trip on the “Capt. Bob II” and showed how it is done. Capt. Roger Meekins put them on the fish just southwest of A buoy and they brought back 46 keeper fish with the largest weighing in at 4lbs. There were also a ton of throw backs as well as black sea bass and bonita on this trip.

As promised, the weather went downhill fast on Tuesday.  Wednesday looks OK for the first day of the Flounder Pounder Tournament.

Captain Aaron Herd on the Gale Force had slow fishing during the first 2.5 hours of his Tuesday charter and then caught them nine flounder to 5.5 pounds during the next 1.5 hours.

Steve Kramark fished Massey’s Canyon with his wife Kelly on Sunday on their boat Catch 23.   That’s right, the other guy stole Steve’s boat name.  They had a nice dolphin in the box when a mystery fish hit a wide tracker lure and Kelly was on the rod.  After a spirited fight the fish turned out to be a 28.2-pound wahoo, Kelly’s first.

Amanda at Lewes Harbour Marina said Brian Riger caught a 7.59-pound flounder at the Old Grounds.  Captain Keith Beebe on the Surface Tension fished the canyons on Monday bringing in 29 golden tilefish.  Shawn Hastings caught a 21 and an 18-inch flounder out of the Lewes and Rehoboth Canal.

The Captain Ike caught a boat limit for their party on Monday.
