Saturday was hot and humid just what you expect for the middle of August.

The Flounder Pounder Leader Board had some changes after Friday.  El Nino is still in First with their 8.6-pounder flounder and Mac Attack is holding in Second with their 7.2 pounder, but Miss Yipp has moved into third with a 7.1-pound flounder and taken the top prize of $5,000 for the Daily Calcutta for Friday.  Mako 22 also caught a 7.1-pound flounder and is now in fourth place overall and won second in the Friday Daily Calcutta worth $3,000.  Two local boats dropped down the leaderboard.  Perfect Mixture is now in sixth and Team Grizzly is currently in seventh.

There have been several large swordfish caught lately from Indian River, Ocean City and Virginia Beach.  One of the largest was a 437-pounder taken by Scott Buchmayer on the Trigger Fish out of Ocean City.

Our friend Captain Bob Throwbridge has the Captain’s Lady back in the water after some maintenance and will be running open boat out of Bowers Beach.
