WGMD Fishing Report 8-27-19

Small craft advisories were up on Monday and will be up again on Tuesday.  The wind is supposed to drop out on Wednesday, but it may take a while for the effects of this dry nor’easter to settle out.  Right now, the surf is really dirty and there is a big drop off at Three Rs Road.  I checked the beach at Herring Point and it is OK.  Clark at Old Inlet said the beaches down his way were good as well.  The water at the inlet is really dirty and will take a couple tide cycles to settle out.  The same is true for the inshore bottom.

I stopped by Lewes Harbour Marina this morning and saw Captain Cary Evans getting the Grizzly fueled up and ready for his next charter.  He has been doing very well with flounder, sea bass, ling and dolphin and expects to get right back on them when the weather lets up.

Captain Ted from the Angler Fleet was also working on the Angler and Pirate King doing some tasks while he has a break in the schedule.  His boats have been fishing the bay and catching a variety including spot, kings, trout and flounder.
