WGMD Fishing Report 8-29-19

Wednesday saw a return to reasonable weather, but Thursday may be a bit bumpy on the ocean and bay with northwest winds at 10 to 15 with gusts to 20.  The surf will lay out flat, but this is not usually good for fishing.  The weekend weather looks good unless we get some remnants from the hurricane headed to Florida.

Amanda at Lewes Harbour Marina said Madison Cales and Payton Bayley fished with white Gulp! from the Town Dock and caught several short flounder along with 17 and 19-inch keepers.  The Katydid had some flounder from the Ocean on Wednesday and the Angler had a catch of kings from the Bay.

At Lighthouse View Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park the report was spot and more spot.  Along with the spot a few short flounder were taken, but no keepers.

At Old Inlet Bait and Tackle they said no change in the fishing.  Blues were caught out of the inlet during incoming water and some kings were taken from the surf.

Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em reported blues caught at Fenwick Shoal.
