These mahi weighing up to 12.6lbs were caught by Devin and Donna Tarr and Terry Murray of Dagsboro, DE while pitching ballyhoo and squid just north of Massey’s Canyon.

Monday was another good weather day and Tuesday looks good as well.

I did want to mention that just before the storm the Katydid fished the bay and caught nine sheepshead to 13 pounds and the Grizzly also fished the bay to bring back a mixed bag of sheepshead, trout and triggerfish.

On Sunday Frank Tucker and a friend fished out of Indian River Inlet and caught a two-man limit of flounder, four sea bass and one bluefish.  The Grizzly had a boat limit of sea bass.

Amanda at Lewes Harbour Marina said that on Monday the Katydid had a mixed bag of flounder and sea bass.  Another boat brought in sheepshead and triggerfish.

At the fishing pier on Cape Henlopen State Park, Lighthouse View Tackle reported croaker, blues and spot were taken at high tide.

At Old Inlet Bait and Tackle the report was blues from Indian River Inlet during incoming water.  Metal lures or bucktails work best on the blues.  Bluefish were also caught from the surf.  Fresh mullet is going to be the best bait at this time of year.
