WGMD Fishing Report 9-3-19

Monday’s weather was good for both bay and ocean fishing and we have reports from each area.

First, I must mention the terrible tragedy in California.  The dive boat that caught on fire with, it appears, the loss of over thirty souls.  It sounds like the type of boat I have gone out on in New England.  Sleeping quarters below deck during the run offshore.  I believe we will see changes in the configuration of these vessels.

I have more information on the three swordfish brought into Lewes Harbour Marina.  The anglers were Kyle Falgowski, Adam Ritter and Chip Graves.  They also released one swordfish.  Four daytime swordfish is quite an accomplishment.

Captain Jesse took Matt Fischer, Donald Legarht and Tucker Fischer to ocean structure where they used pink Gulp! mullet to catch flounder between 17 and 19 inches plus numerous shorts.

The Gale Force with Captain Aaron Herd is catching nice flounder from Indian River Inlet.

The Katydid had a good trip on Monday returning with 30 dolphin, 40 sea bass, five ling and one flounder.
