Two COs at the James T. Vaughn Correction Center Assaulted by Inmate

Two Correctional Officers at the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center in Smyrna are recovering from injuries after they were assaulted Thursday night by an inmate with an improvised weapon. Both officers were treated for injuries – and have been released from the hospital. The investigation is continuing – no further information has been released.
